Are you an Assistant Accountant looking for a role closer to home? This is a great opportunity to join a very established, well-respected local company with multiple branches across the region.
Working closely with a more senior Accountant you will have the opportunity to further develop your existing skills and experience across a varied range of accounting duties, whilst having your own set of responsibilities.
Your responsibilities would include -
- Month end reconciliations
- Checking and processing journal entries
- Weekly and monthly reporting including analysis
- Preparation of various reports for internal and external stakeholders, including commentary on variances etc
- Assist with preparation of statutory reports including BAS, FBT etc
- Manage and maintain fixed assets
- Other related and ad hoc tasks, as required
What are we looking for –
- You have undertaken relevant Accounting studies and have relevant work experience
- You take pride on having high levels of attention to detail and accuracy in the work you output
- You have intermediate Excel skills and are good at picking up systems and processes
- You have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
