Our client is a well-established, privately owned business in SMEATON GRANGE that supplies a range of products to both national and international retailers.
This role would be focused on raising purchase orders with key suppliers and coordinating import and export shipments originating from Asia to both local and overseas customers.
We are looking for an experienced Import/Export/Logistics Coordinator who has ideally worked for a wholesaler, distributor or similar and had exposure to import/export shipping documentation and/or worked for a freight forwarder in the past.
Responsibilities include:
- Raising purchase orders for upcoming orders
- Invoicing drop ship customers
- Regular online meetings with suppliers to monitor supplier performance and ensure goods are manufactured to schedule and able to be shipped on time
- Liaising with freight forwarders regarding shipments
- Preparation of paperwork for shipments originating from suppliers in Asia and being delivered to customers in Europe, UK, US etc.
- Liaising with suppliers regarding any required documentation
- Tracking and updating the status of orders and looking out for any potential delays or schedule changes
- Updating and maintain tracking spreadsheets, ERP system.
This is a permanent role, working a 38 hour week, lovely offices, onsite parking is provided.
